Azurite and Larimar "Female Figure" Sterling Silver Pendant

$160.00

Thi is another of the “female figure” pendants I have been working on lately. The inverted teardrop stone is Azurite and the “head” of the woman is a 7mm Larimar cabochon. All are set in Fine and Sterling Silver I pattern the sterling silver for the backplate with my rolling mill just to add a little “surprise” to the piece. The pendant measures 1 1/2” long and 7/8” wide and is hung on a 18” 1.2mm Sterling silver snake chain.

Azurite is found in many locations in the world. The most famous sources are the USA (Utah, Arizona and New Mexico), Mexico, Namibia, the Congo, Morocco and Australia. Azurite was called the “Stone of Heaven” by the ancient Chinese who believed it to open celestial gateways, and was revered by Greeks and Romans for its visionary insights and healing powers.

Larimar is a rare blue variety of the silicate mineral pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean. Its coloration varies from white, light-blue, green-blue to deep blue. Often called the “turquoise of the Caribbean”. Larimar cools tempers and calms fears, relieves stress and nurtures the physical and emotional bodies. It is powerful in meditation and in connecting to the Divine Feminine, making it a perfect stone to use to represent the female. It is particularly helpful in releasing emotional bonds, patterns or principles that no longer serve the highest good. A stone of clear communication, it provides the strength and courage needed to speak openly from the heart.
