Purple Mojave Turquoise is a composite stone. It is made from the scraps of the Kingman turquoise used for making beads. The scraps are dyed (purple or green), then mixed with natural color turquoise, bronze or copper is added, then resin. The blocks are then cut into slices, from which the cabochons are then cut and shaped. It is a great use of resources. Nothing is wasted and they are beautiful stones!
